Do not judge the method by how confidently we describe it. Inspect what it said before hindsight arrived.
In 2025, the Premise Decision Engine published a dated analysis of the structure created by the GENIUS Act, including the possibility that stablecoin growth could create additional demand for short-term U.S. Treasuries.
Later Federal Reserve commentary made that same structural connection. That does not prove that every earlier inference was right. It gives you something more useful: a dated reasoning trail you can inspect against what followed.

There are a few things I would rather tell you myself.
I have spent more than 35 years as CEO of multiple businesses. Some of the most important lessons behind The Careful Optimist came from decisions and experiences I would rather have understood differently at the time.
In 2020, a Texas authority issued a cease-and-desist order naming me and several companies. I maintain that it identified the wrong person and described activity that was not mine. I did not challenge the record properly when it appeared.
Silence hardens the record.
In a very different experience, I delivered work under a signed US$10 million agreement. The payment did not arrive.
A signature is not money.
What is written, promised or confidently presented is not always the same as what ultimately becomes real.
